I am very excited to tell you that we are beginning Forest School sessions for our children after the half term break. Sandgate school have very kindly agreed to allow us to use their Forest School site .
As a qualified Forest school leader I will be taking a group of 10 children each session, each week, to take part in Forest School sessions. We are offering these sessions initially, to those children who will be leaving for school in September, however, there may be some spaces available for youger children, who we feel, have the skills that are needed in order to keep safe when attending All children will have the opportunity to take part during their last year before school.
The sessions will take place each Monday morning and Friday afternoon for 6 weeks. We will have a group of up to 10 children for the Monday sessions and a group of up to ten children for the Friday sessions.
Children who attend the sessions will need to wear appropriate clothing, an all in one waterproof suit or coat and waterproof trousers, wellie boots or walking shoes, hat, gloves, scarf during the colder months. We will be out in all weathers so it is important that your child is fully protected. Any child who comes to the session without this will not be able to take part.
If you would like your child to take part in the Forest School sessions please email us to confirm this. I will then send you a consent form for you to sign. If we get more than 10 children wanting to attend each session, those children will be added to the next 6 week program. We will take children on a first come first served basis. We may be able to offer children longer than 6 week sessions if we have spaces available.
If you have any concerns or questions please let me know.
