We have been very busy today drawing up plans to build our own Bug Hotel in the garden.
The children who go to Forest School have been very interested in the Bug Hotel which is in the Forest School site.
We listened to a story called ‘A Squash and Squeeze’, the children were talking about all the different kinds of houses we can live in. They then remembered seeing the Bug Hotel and asked if we could build our own.
We decided to make a book which would contain our plans. The children have worked very hard today, drawing up plans for the hotel and discussing what the hotel would look like.
We made a shopping list of all the items we would need to build our Bug Hotel.
If you have any of the following items we would love you to donate them so that the children can get to work. Some of the items you could collect on walks.

Wood, sticks, leaves, corks for bugs to sleep on, hay, pebbles, rocks, bricks, tubes, tunnels, shower heads so the bugs can wash!, slides and anything else you feel could be useful.
We can’t wait to show you the finished result .
